Music...Skinny Jeans and all that Jazz. (: Chapter one ...

Maddie's POV.

"Have you got any more bags to put in the car" Mum asked me. "Yeah, my make up bag!" I shouted back from the house. "Bring it out then" She yelled back, not realizing I was already outside. I walked out, turned around and locked the door behind me. I sighed. We were soon going to be on our way to our annual trip. Me and my mum go to a nice little cottage by the canal owned by some stranger, all we . do is sit and watch boats go by. *fun* I thought, sarcastically. I shoved my make up bag on top of all my other 6 bags in the trunk and slammed it down, walked around to the passenger seat. "Mum!! Move your bag so I can get in" I whined, mum had left a big bag on the front seat. "Just sit in the back then" She said back. "Ugh." I moaned and opened the back door and jumped in. I pulled out my iPod and switched it on to drown out the sound of the crappy engine on this crappy car. I had brought a pillow in the back with me, the seats were so uncomfortable. Soon I felt extremely sleepy listening to my music, so I pulled my pillow from underneath me and lay my head on it. Soon, I was drifting asleep to Invisible by Taylor Swift. When I woke up I looked at my watch and we had been driving for two hours. The car wasn't moving and I couldn't see Mom in the drivers seat. I looked around and outside all the windows, we were in a gas station. I opened the door and looked around to see Mom walking to the car with some drinks, she handed me one and got back in the car, so I sat back in my seat. Mom put the key in the engine and it made a screechy sound then kind of brrrum, then it stopped. "Mom, what does that sound mean?" I said, she looked back at me, biting her bottom lip. "Mom...what is it." I asked worried. " I think the car has broken down." She said. YES!! NO BOAT HOLIDAY!! WOOP. "Tha...That's too bad." I sad, pretending to be upset. "Aww, it's okay honey, I know what we'll do, there is a hotel a couple blocks away, we can walk there, I heard it has a nice pool" WOOOOOOO! EVEN BETTER "Yeahh !! woohoo." I said, *relaxation* I thought,*yes!!!* Me and mom got out the car, and called the engineer people to come pick it up for fixing. We walked two blocks all the way down to the hotel, on the way I saw a cute dark purple mini dress. I had to get it, but I had no money at all. *I need that dress!!* I thought. I guess I'll just earn some money by helping mom around. When I walked into the hotel, my mouth dropped. It was beautiful, 5 stars. We checked in and went up to our room, room 201. IT WAS HUGE! It had 2 massive double beds in two massive bedrooms with on-suite, an open plan kitchen and a living room with an awesome television. I flopped down on the couch and flung my bags down and sighed happily. "I could get used to this." I said laughing randomly. Mom set down her keys on the desk and told me she was going to go out to find a supermarket for some shopping. "Are you going to be okay here for a couple hours alone?" She asked. "Yeah..Yeah , I'll be fine Mom, I'm 17... I can handle myself." I said, when she left, I decided I would take a shower so I found the bathroom and got in, I washed my hair, I stepped out 20 minutes later I wrapped a towel around myself, and made my way through to the living room to get my hand scrub and toiletry bag.
